You're MINE Valentine Ode to Tablecloth

So, there I was browsing in Williams-Sonoma while they gift wrapped a birthday gift for my husband.  Just looking at wondrous things that I don't need and don't have space to house, and suddenly my eyes fell on a scarlet red linen table cloth....the red of bright cherries topping a frosty sundae.  You know that red.  Delicious. Touching the cloth, I knew it was quality, perfect cutouts, meticulous weave and turned corners.  Price?  $122.  WAIT.  Were my eyes deceiving me?  Could it be true?  I picked up the tablecloth, approached the clerk..."Am I reading this tag correctly?  Is the sale price $19.99 or am I missing a digit?"  "No, that's correct. We finished inventory last night and found it in the back."

Love music seemed to play in the background, "You're MINE!"  I said and hurried to pay for it before they changed their mind.

Safe at home, I unfurled my new tablecloth (keeping the tag on the cloth so I can share with amazed friends) and created a Valentine's tablescape.

Factoids about china pattern, Royal Doulton Sarabande:

In music, the sarabande (It., sarabanda) is a dance in triple metre. The second and third beats of each measure are often tied, giving the dance a distinctive rhythm of quarter notes and eighth notes in alternation. The quarters are said to corresponded with dragging steps in the dance.
