Comfort Dinnerscape

Chicken soup, biscuits, and gravy.  What's better than that?  Add a handed down from Great-Grandma quilt and fireside dining to have a recipe for a comfort dinner!
The quilt blocks feature boys and girls wearing overalls, carrying a fishing pole, surrounded by yellow and blue strips of fabric, handquilted together.

Knitted blankets over the back of craftsman wooden chairs in yellow and white.

Thanks to Susan and all her inspiring followers on Between Naps on the Porch. Can't wait to see your designs.  Keep warm and cozy!  ~CJ

  1. I love quilts as table coverings. I first saw this about 20 years ago when my girlfriend did it. It's just so charming, although I have to say that I'd live in fear that someone would spill something on it. I've seen similar things done with tartan blankets and that look is a good one as well. Very nice!
