I'm not a Vegas kind of gal. In fact, for years I boasted that I had never been to Vegas except to drive through on the way to someplace much more (fill-in the blank-"beautiful" "edifying" "sophisticated" "natural"). However, recently I have had the opportunity to attend several events in Las Vegas, Nevada, that enabled me to see some of the less-kitchy, and truly beautiful sides of this town.
The Paris Hotel in the early evening dusk truly inspires the kind of romance and awe reserved for those in Paris, France.
Then as the Bellagio "lake" erupts into the nightly water show, you fly among the mist into a dream and fantasy land.
Show over, mists settle around you like perfume, and you enter the Bellagio Hotel to see their seasonal displays.
A magical harvest tour. Such fun for free, and no money lost in the casino. Of course, you have to thank the generous gamblers for making the magical displays a reality. Vegas is in the eye of the beholder.
It has been eight years since my last post. Now that I've retired and moved to a new nest, I found my way back to blogging, trying out new tech toys, gardening, theatre, and old and new passions.
Wow! amazing! The artists are very well educated in their field of expertise.
ReplyDeleteI salute them. Seems, a Fantasyland, indeed.
TY for sharing.
