I love the delicate lacey rim, and hand painted flowers. Oh, lucky me for finding these!
The pink napkins are an eBay find, heavy and soft. The napkin rings are a thrift store find, 8 for $5. Flatware hail from World Market. But oh, my Lucky China Salad plates from shopgoodwill.com.
I love this old punch bowl. My husband and I found it while antiquing along the Kern River, California. We both gasped when we saw it sitting on the shelf. You know that feeling, don't you?
Pink Alstroemeria flowers floating are cut from last week's tablescape. Love how long these blooms last!
Homer Laughlin Georgian plates with deep burgundy edge sit atop a simple silver charger, adding some shine and masculine weight to all the pink. The burgundy brings it more to a size 10, and that's still ok.
Red goblets (that really look pink) and hammered aluminum tumbler, delicate and chiseled, sort of opposites attracting.
Butter, jam, and condiments
The one dinner plate I could find, placed on an aluminum tray.
For sweeping crumbs off the table. How gentile is that?
Previously displayed collection and post on collecting hammered aluminum, the "poor man's silver."
Happy Valentine's Day on February 14th and any day you're with your love, or loving yourself in or out your nest.

Beautiful Tablescape!! I am a HUGE Goodwill fan but I have never purchased from them on-line.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your crumb sweeper!! I have never seen one before but I will most definitely be on the look out for one!
Happy Valentines Day!

ReplyDeleteStunning tablescape!
ReplyDelete... thanks for stopping by my lil'blog and leaving a sweet comment :)
Greetings from Australia♥
Love that you incorporated hammered aluminum in your tablescape. I need to do that with my next tablescape. By the way, we have the same crumb sweeper!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My Valentine's Day post
ReplyDeleteI am liking your punch bowl very much also the hammered alumium
most people don't know what a crumb sweeper is
This is the first time I've visited your blog. What fun! Love your profile.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice collection of hammered aluminum, and I intend to visit that post later.
Glad to get to know you.
Fabulous tablescape, I love it all! The hummered aluminum is great and very unique. I'm loving the lace plates with the rose bouquet in the center. Lovely. Happy Valentine's month.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Very pretty table!! Love, Nana
ReplyDeleteI'm a pink lover too. I love your hammered aluminum. I have a couple of pieces that I adore. Those lace plates are fabulous. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table setting! I am absolutely drooling over your aluminumware pieces!!! I collect it, too, and have the crumb butler as well. You have some pretty and unique pieces! For my last post, I set up a coffee station for a party I hosted Tuesday night, on a large aluminum tray. Love that stuff!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog you have! I'm your newest follower! Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog and for the kind comment! :)
Beautiful table. The GW plates are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the hammered aluminumware! The silent butler is great! Thank you for stopping by my blog, so I could find yours! I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteWonderful table and lucky you! Your dish find is great. Don't you just love ebay! Hope you had a great v-day!
ReplyDeleteYou are SO funny!!! Love all the pink, CJ!!!! This should have gotten you down to a 4, even with that heavy "size 10" burgundy factored in! :-) Your plates are fantabulous!!! You will get a LOT of mileage out of those puppies!!! I had no idea there is a shopGoodwill.com out there! What a great concept! I don't need to go anywhere near it, though. I'm already in the doghouse! I like the way you described the napkins as both heavy and soft. I can almost actually feel what that must feel like. That fabulous crumb catcher....Ii have wanted one of those since forever! Had a chance to buy one several years ago and passed on it...foolishly. Your is really cool!!! I have a few pieces of "poor man's silver" myself and wish I had more. I...again foolishly...sold a bunch of it when I retured & sold the contents of my store. Dumb, dumb, dumb!!! Hey, I meant to thank you again for your post re: alternative sites to Picnik. I finally settled on Picasa. It is taking some getting used to, but I'll have it down to a science in no time. Take care, my sweet!

ReplyDeleteI say that this is your most sophisticated and beautiful tablescape, yet! Just glorious! I have such a soft spot in my heart for reticulated plates. I just bought a set of creamware bread and butters at an estate sale this weekend. Your new salads are gorgeous. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDelete♫♫ Lucky-Dog, Lucky-Dog ♫♫ CJ, those plates are fabulous!! What a lucky find...I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteYour entire tablescape is just beautiful. That punch bowl is TDF & I love how you used it for flowers as a centerpiece. I have 2 (not as pretty as yours) & I never thought to do that. Thanks for sharing all your pretties!
fondly,
Rett
